Fundraiser for Healing Hurt People Chicago
Event Fundraiser: Strides for Peace 2022 Race Against Gun Violence
Healing Hurt People Chicago's (HHPC) mission is to provide trauma informed care, promote recovery, prevent re-injury and mortality, reduce retaliation, and lessen involvement in the criminal legal system. Your donation directly benefits participants of HHPC by providing improved access to education, employment, and mental health, medical and social services. Our team of Trauma Intervention Specialists accomplishes this by first meeting participants bedside at Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook County and The University of Chicago Comer Children's Hospital and then, after discharge, meeting participants within community settings that are at or near participants' homes.
