Goal

At Healing Hurt People Chicago (HHPC), we envision a world with pathways to healing, trauma-informed healthcare and social systems, and repair to issues in communities that lead to violence. When our vision is realized, we will be closer to living in a city free of gun violence.

Our team of Trauma Intervention Specialists (TIS) meet with and support individuals bedside at John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook County and The University of Chicago Comer Children's Hospital. After individuals have been discharged, our community based TIS team serve program participants and their family members at their homes or other community spaces of their chosing. We provide healing centered care focused on preventing re-injury, reducing retaliation and movement from surviving to thriving.

This year marks the 10 year annivesary of our program! We are proud and grateful to be in service for this long, and aim to enhance our program's capacity in the coming year. Your donation - no matter the size - directly benefits the participants of HHPC, and helps us accomplish our goals for program expansion. Thank you for your generousity!
