Kolbe House is the jail ministry of the Archdiocese of Chicago. By supporting our ministry, you are supporting faith-sharing groups for men and women in Cook and Lake county jails, pastoral and material support for families affected by incarceration, and transitional support for men and women returning to the community from jail or prison. We provide a listening, nonjudgmental presence to these men, women and children, and we walk with them as they build communities of support that help them achieve stability and a sense of belonging. Located just blocks from Cook county jail, we are often the first stop for men and women getting released from jail and meet them with kindness and hospitality.
