The James-Gail Foundation, Inc. is happy to participate in the Race Against Gun Violence for the third year in a row. Each year we are able to share with thousands of people just what we do for children amid gun violence. Our organization aims to bring awareness to children who were victims of gun violence but also to provide opportunities for kids to simply enjoy their childhood. It is important to us to create spaces where kids can simply be kids and hopefully not have the fear of gun violence preventing them from enjoying their childhood. We take children and their families on different excursions throughout the summer as a way of getting them out of the neighborhood and seeing more of the city, more opportunities, and more hope for what their reality should be. The only thing kids should worry about is how much fun they are going to have this summer. This is what our To Be A Kid: The Experience program is all about.
